Mean Green Racers

FPV Drone Racing

Mean Green Racers is our FPV drone racing program and runs through our official MultiGP chapter.

It gives members a chance to build their piloting skills in a fast-paced competitive setting, whether they are completely new to FPV or already have experience racing.

How We Practice

A lot of our practice starts in simulators like Velocidrone.

This gives new members a way to learn the basics of FPV flying, racing lines, and control without worrying about crashing a real drone.

Once members are comfortable in the simulator, they can start getting more real flight time and working toward actual race events.

Racing With the Community

We regularly attend races hosted by Dallas Drone Racing, which gives our members a chance to compete, meet other pilots, and get more experience outside of club practice.

Racing with the local community has helped us improve our piloting skills and build connections with other people involved in FPV racing.

Support From Dallas Drone Racing

Dallas Drone Racing has also helped support our program by sponsoring us with racing gates through Jay McKibben.

Having our own gates has made it much easier to set up proper practice courses and continue growing the racing side of the club.

Goal

The goal of Mean Green Racers is to give members a place to learn FPV flying, improve their racing skills, and compete as part of the local drone racing community.
